David Walker Endorses Mitt Romney
When I talked to David Walker on the phone last Thursday regarding my upcoming book “The Virtues of the 0% Tax Bracket”, I asked him if he was planning on endorsing someone for President. He responded that he hadn’t yet made up his mind. Then he asked, “What do you think? Do you think I should?” I responded overwhelmingly in the affirmative. Historically David Walker has been a politically neutral figure whose recommendations people take seriously. I told him that I thought the nation needed to hear his voice. A few days later, this endorsement appeared in The Washington Times. It’s a useful article because David Walker defines the leadership qualities this nation needs in the face of our fiscal crises. But it also puts forth a good summary of the fiscal challenges facing our nation and the consequences of not addressing them head on.
