As I mentioned previously, bulk sales only count as one purchase on Amazon. So, if you’re planning on buying more than one book (as many people are), might I suggest that you spread it among several different credit cards? For example, if you’re planning on buying 30 books, perhaps buy 10 on 3 different credit cards. For the purpose of the Amazon sales rankings, that counts as 3 sales. The more credit cards you have, the more sales can be counted. By the way, if you buy more than 3 books at a time, shipping is free. So, there is no additional shipping cost for spreading your purchases out over several different credit cards.
What else can you do?
1. Write a one to two sentence review for the book and post it on Amazon
2. Share the link to the book on your Facebook page, blog, website or twitter feed
3. Send emails to friends, family or associates talking about the book
